British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople confirmed on Wednesday night. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The sports star had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, representatives confirmed on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the loss of his two close friends.”

The news of his discharge arrives after the sports world had expressed sympathy for the fighter in the wake of the terrible crash.
